About the Event
While many older adults value the independence of driving, changes that happen with age may alter a person’s ability to drive safely. It’s quite possible that an 80-year-old in perfect health can drive safely without posing a threat to oneself or other drivers on the road, while a 60-year-old with impaired vision and a medical condition that affects their motor skills may indeed need to stop driving.
Some of the topics that will be discussed are:
- What factors can affect driving as you age and signs of when it may be time to stop driving?
- What are your options when you no longer drive?
- How does giving up your license affect your family?
- Are there resources or therapies for those wanting to be proactive to keep driving?

that will be shared by local experts who deal with these situations every day.
